An Ode to Sweet Ivy

We started off the new year in a most heartbreaking way, as we said goodbye to our sweet pup, Ivy in the early hours of January 4. After being diagnosed with a genetic liver condition in April, Ivy became very ill, and her prognosis was very poor. It was estimated she had but weeks to live. We sought a second opinion, and Ivy was prescribed some medications and a change to her diet. Candle production ceased, and all of our energy went to Ivy's well being. Miraculously, she began to improve. She gained weight back, her energy levels increased, and she returned to her beloved games of frisbee and fetch with vigor. Wrapping up a wonderful market season in December, we took a lovely Christmas vacation, and spent the following week relaxing together. On Saturday, she was lethargic and didn't appear to feel well, so we took it easy. Early Sunday morning she passed away, sleeping peacefully in my arms. In the days since, we have had time to mourn and reflect on all the great memories we have together. Over the years she came to many markets with us, and we know many of you will miss her smiling face behind the scenes in our booth, as we will!
So, tomorrow, January16, we return to the Downtown Concord Winter Famers Market. Find us downstairs in Eagle Square from 9am-12noon, we sure would love to see you! We are also busy planning our 2026 market schedule, so stay tuned for all the places you can find us in the coming year. We truly appreciate each of you, and thank you so much for being here.
